Local beauty, fashion and lifestyle creator, Daisy Tomlinson, launches Betfred St Leger Ladies’ Day Style Guide
2026 Style Guide themed ‘Timeless Style: Create a look that lasts as long as the Leger’
Daisy will join TV personality and presenter, Mark Wright, as the Style Awards judge
The Betfred St Leger Festival returns to Doncaster Racecourse next month, where it’s set to be the biggest yet as the world’s oldest Classic celebrates the 250th anniversary running of the historic St Leger Stakes. The bumper four-day Festival gets underway on Thursday 10 September and finishes on Sunday 13 September. Packed with world-class flat racing, live entertainment and unique experiences, the 2026 festival will offer racegoers an unforgettable celebration of this iconic milestone that’s not to be missed.
Kicking off the proceedings on Thursday 10 September will be the iconic Betfred Ladies Day, which has become a staple in the fashion calendar for anyone wanting to bring a bit of glamour to the sport. Each year, racegoers can find inspiration on how to dress to impress in the annual Style Guide, which this year has been penned by local beauty, fashion and lifestyle creator Daisy Tomlinson.
The theme for 2026 is “Timeless Style: Create a look that lasts as long as the Leger”, in which Daisy gives helpful tips, advice and ideas for creating timeless looks and how to stand out from the crowd that take inspiration from the race’s rich 250th year’s of history. Daisy’s explains how classiness never goes out of fashion, how she loves going big with a hat, offers advice on adding a touch of colour, and her Golden Rule, which she reveals within the guide.
In addition to creating the Style Guide, Daisy will be joining television personality and radio presenter Mark Wright as a judge at the coveted Style Awards, where they will choose the best-dressed winner to receive a total prize pot worth £2,500, including £1,000 of vouchers to use at Sheffield shopping centre, Meadowhall.
Discussing writing the Style Guide, Daisy said: “Growing up in Doncaster, the Betfred St Leger Festival has always been such a big event, so being asked to create this year’s Ladies’ Day Style Guide feels really special. Knowing it’s also celebrating the 250th running of the St Leger makes it even more exciting to be involved, and I can’t wait to be part of such a landmark year for the Festival.
“This year’s Timeless Style theme really resonated with me because I think the best outfits aren’t about following every trend - they’re about wearing pieces you’ll love for years to come and styling them in a way that reflects your personality. My biggest piece of advice is to wear something that feels like you because when you feel comfortable in what you’re wearing, it always shows. I can’t wait to see everyone’s outfits on Ladies’ Day!”
Rachel Harwood, executive director at Doncaster Racecourse, said: “The Ladies’ Day Style Guide has become a much-anticipated part of the festival each year, giving racegoers inspiration while celebrating the style, creativity and individuality that make Ladies’ Day so special. As we celebrate the 250th running of the Betfred St Leger Stakes, it felt like the perfect opportunity to give the guide a fresh perspective.
“Daisy was a natural choice to bring this year’s theme to life. As a Doncaster-born fashion and lifestyle creator, she has a fantastic eye for style and a genuine connection to the local area. We love the way she’s interpreted this year’s Timeless Style theme, and we know her guide will inspire both returning racegoers and those experiencing Ladies' Day for the first time.”
