Doncaster Racecourse is getting ready to welcome guests back to watch live racing, including the prestigious four-day St Leger Festival in September. And for 2021, Doncaster Racecourse has re-imagined the St Leger experience!
New year, new decade, new-look St Leger.
Leger Legends will open the four-day St Leger festival as in previous years, with Thursday being a new look Ladies Day. Everyone has missed dressing up so very much, so this year we are expecting to see some great Ladies Day looks. The key to a successful St Leger Ladies Day outfit will be colour as we try to deliver the biggest rainbow to show our thanks to the local NHS teams who have worked so hard to keep us safe and get us back racing.
Friday is Donny’s Day, with the oldest race to be held at Doncaster – the Doncaster Cup the racing highlight. After the last 18 months, we want to celebrate the people of Doncaster by sharing stories of your local heroes and celebrating all the organisations and community groups that have provided support and solace. Over the coming months, we will be asking you to share your stories with us on social media about who has been your hero in the past year.
St Leger Saturday, as ever, will offer top-class racing as we deliver the final Classic race of the season. We hope you can join us. It’s time to pull out the hat, as this is a real occasion to dress up for. We will be ensuring your comfort and safety through-out the day, with some great new experiences to be had alongside some fantastic racing.
The County Enclosure will offer a real festival experience with street food, a vibrant and rainbow feel with some surprises during the day.
The Grandstand offers great views of the racing access to the betting ring and hall, along-side the clocktower champagne court. With a great range of local food and drink.
The Family Area will have an alcohol-free area, to ensure a relaxed environment for extended families to enjoy the event together.
Tickets are now on sale for each day of the St Leger Festival.
