The Betfred St Leger Stakes returns to Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday 11 September 2027. Get your friends and family together for a reyt good day out, with top-class flat racing, live entertainment and plenty happening around the course. As the home of the world's oldest Classic, Doncaster is proud to host this historic fixture every year.
The Betfred St Leger Stakes is the highlight of the festival and the oldest of Britain's five Classic races. First run in 1776, it has a special place in British racing history and remains the only Classic Group 1 race held in the north of England. With Saffie Osborne and Highwayman winning the St Leger Stakes in 2026 who will take the crown in 2027!
There's plenty to enjoy away from the track, too. Explore the bars and food outlets, catch up with friends and enjoy the atmosphere of one of Doncaster's biggest racing days.
St Leger Day brings racing and entertainment together, with live music and performances across the racecourse. Previous festivals have featured DJ sets on the Champagne Lawn, including in 2026 Capital breakfast DJ Jordan North!
The 2027 entertainment line-up is coming soon, so keep an eye out for updates.
Please note that entertainment areas may have age restrictions and specific ticket requirements. Access to the Champagne Lawn is restricted to guests aged 18 and over throughout the festival. The area operates a Challenge 21 policy, so you may be asked to show ID.
Tickets for Betfred St Leger Day 2027 are available now! Under-18s can attend free when accompanied by a parent or guardian holding a valid ticket.

Upon arrival, guests with Grandstand fast-track tickets should proceed to the Grandstand gate for entry into the Grandstand enclosure. This ticket gives guests exclusive access to the clock tower

Dress Code:
The dress code for the Premier Enclosure is jacket for gentlemen with tie optional and smart attire for ladies. Jeans and sportswear are not permitted in this area.
We would also request that children dress smartly when joining us in the Premier Enclosure.
