Saturday 6th March is the main event of the Virgin Bet Grimthorpe Chase Weekend at Doncaster Racecourse. Settle in for a day of action-packed jump racing on Town Moor, with the historic Grimthorpe Chase at the heart of the fixture.
The Grimthorpe Chase is a long-standing part of Doncaster's winter jumps calendar and a key date for racing fans. Covering 3 miles and 2 furlongs, it is known as the ultimate endurance test over fences and has links to the wider Grand National story.
Get close to the action at the rail, watch the horses in the parade ring and cheer them on as they head for the finish. There's plenty to enjoy away from the track too, with food, drinks and time to catch up with friends and family.
In the history of this race, several winners of the Grimthorpe Chase have gone on to compete at Aintree, with some becoming National favourites. Saturday’s card is your chance to witness future legends in action. 🏇✨
Local university groups head to Town Moor for an action-packed day at the races. The raceday atmosphere will be boosted by students joining us through Invades, bringing people together to enjoy live racing, entertainment and a lively day out.
Enjoy the Grimthorpe Chase from one of our hospitality options, with dining, drinks and views of the track. Restaurant packages and private suites give you a comfortable base while keeping you close to the racing.
