We are so excited to welcome you to the 250th running of the Betfred St Leger Festival
As you’d expect with a festival of racing, we get a lot of questions. We’ve tried to collate some of our most frequently asked so you can easily find information that may be relevant to you.
Tickets & Booking
When do advance tickets close?
Online tickets remain open before and during each day of the Betfred St Leger Festival (subject to ticket availability) and can be purchased on the day of racing.
Can I buy tickets at the racecourse box office?
Our racecourse box office is open for the Betfred St Leger Festival tickets, from gates opening on each day of the festival. Please be aware that the Box Office accepts card payments only.
Are there any concessions tickets?
Yes, if you are lucky enough to be 60+ - we offer 50% off the gate price on the day, for picnic and grandstand enclosures on the day. You must have valid photo ID. Each day of the festival has an allocation of tickets.
How do I get a PA ticket?
If you require a PA, a PA ticket will be issued with a valid entrance and PA id card.
When will I receive my tickets?
All tickets will be sent via email. This includes tickets for restaurant and hospitality bookings. They will be sent out around 10 days in advance of the meeting (From 31st August) Sometimes these can land in your junk folder so please check before getting in touch.
Can I collect my tickets on the day?
Unless at the request of the racecourse (for example Personal Assistant tickets), there is no longer an on-the-day ticket collection option. All tickets can only be sent via email.
I am missing my tickets, what should I do?
Please ensure you have checked your junk/spam folders, if they have not arrived please send the following details to racingnorth@arenaracingcompany.co.uk so our team can check your details on the booking are correct.

Can I transfer between Enclosures?
Space permitting, you can upgrade your ticket to another enclosure on the day at the upgrade points within each enclosure on the day. An upgrade fee will apply. Cash is not accepted
Dress Code
What is the dress code for the County enclosure?
Gentleman should wear smarter attire, for example, smart jeans or tailored shorts and collared shirt.
Ladies are expected to adopt a smarter style.
The only key stipulation is that sportswear and offensive fancy dress are not permitted
What is the dress code for the Premier enclosure?
The dress code for the premier enclosure is Jacket and tie for gentlemen and smart attire for ladies. Strictly no jeans, sportswear or sports trainers. This dress code also applies to children.
What is the dress code for the Picnic & Grandstand Enclosures?
There is no dress code for this enclosure. However, most racegoers choose a smart casual outfit when attending the races and we discourage sportswear and ripped jeans.
What is the dress code for the Home Straight Restaurant, Triple Crown?
The dress code for the Home Straight & Sky Garden restaurants is Jacket and tie for gentlemen and smart attire for ladies. Strictly no jeans, sportswear or trainers. This dress code also applies to children.
What is the dress code for the Conduit Restaurant, La Suite Giardino, Boxes, Sky Garden Press, and Owners & Trainers?
The dress code for this area is a collared shirt for gentlemen and smart attire for ladies. No denim, sportswear or trainers are permitted.
Travel & Parking
How do I get to and from the racecourse on public transport?
Shuttle buses will run from outside the racecourse into town after the last race. Alternatively, it’s a brief 15-minute walk to the station.
Please adhere to the various travel safety guidelines.

Where can I park?
Annual Members, Hospitality Guests and Owners and Trainers please use Car Park A for complimentary parking.
Marquee Guests can use Car Park D.
Public parking will be available in Car Park C (a charge may apply).
Entry
What entrance do I use?
For the Premier Enclosure, Owners and Trainers, Annual Members and Box Guests, please use the Main Reception Entrance. Champagne Lawn entrance via gate 4 (access via the main car park).
Guests for the Sky Garden, Home Straight Restaurant, Conduit Restaurant, and The Old Weighing Room please use the main county entrance
For the La Suite Giardino the entrance is Hilton Garden Inn
For Marquee Guests, chalets and The Triple Crown Restaurant, & Prestige enclosure please use the Tan Crossing Entrance on Bawtry Road.
County Enclosure guests should use Champagne Lawn entrance via gate 4 (access via the main car park). and the Paddock gate entrance on Bawtry Road.
All Grandstand Enclosure Guests should use the Grandstand Enclosure entrance outside the racecourse on Leger Way.
For the Picnic Stand, please use gate 8 off Sandall Beat Road, opposite Wickes.
Will there be security checks on arrival?
Yes, there will be security checks on entry. Please bring nothing larger than an A4-sized bag. Drugs dogs will also be on every entrance.
Are there any age requirements?
Children 17 and under go free to the races when accompanied by a parent or guardian. You’ll need to select a child ticket when making your booking.
No under 18s are allowed on the Champagne Lawn throughout the Festival, this will be a strict challenge 21 area.

What time do gates open?
Race times are subject to change. Please check the what’s on fixture page for the date you are attending the Betfred St Leger Festival for the most up-to-date times.
Thursday 10th September - 2 hours prior to the first race - Fast track & hospitality- entrance 2.5hourse prior to the first race. Annual members – have access 10 minutes prior to fast track and hospitality
Friday 11th September - 2 hours prior to the first race. Fast track & hospitality entrance 2.5 hours prior to the first race. Annual members – have access 10 minutes prior to fast track and hospitality
Saturday 12th September - 2.5 hours prior to the first race. Fast track & hospitality entrance 3 hours prior to the first race, Annual members – have access 10 minutes prior to fast track and hospitality
Sunday 13th September - 2 hours prior to the first race

Entertainment
What is on when?
The racecard will provide a full itinerary for each day.
Entertainment will be on throughout the day.

Music on the Festival Champagne Lawn in the county stand – For Premier Enclosure, County Enclosure and hospitality, marquee and restaurant guests only - for 90 minutes post the last race

Music in the Betting Hall in the Grandstand Enclosure for 60 minutes post the last race.
Sunday 13th September - There is no post racing entertainment.
Payments
What payment method do you accept?
All bars and food outlets will be accepting card and contactless payments only.
On-course bookmakers will still be accepting cash.
We do not accept cash at any of our food and beverage outlets, or at the ticket office.
Do Bookmakers accept cash?
Yes – course bookmakers will still accept cash and some will also accept debit cards. There are no cash machines on the racecourse so if cash is your preferred method to game with, then please ensure you bring this with you.
ATMS
There are NO ATM available on site
A cashback facility is available at the TOTE outlets on course, a minimum spend is required.
Food and Drink
Can I bring a picnic?
Picnics can be brought into the picnic enclosure only and on Sunday. Please do not bring any metal cutlery. Disposable cutlery will be available in the Silver Patriarch Bar.
Food and drink cannot be brought into the Premier, County and Grandstand enclosures.
No gazebos or trolleys can be brought onto site.
What food and drink options are on offer?
There will be festival food villages across the site and the food court will be open every day in the grandstand, there will be offers available to catering for dietary requirements.
I have special dietary requirements what can I eat?
There will be vegan and vegetarian options available across the site – The information will be detailed on the food vendor menus
Can I bring in my own food?
You can bring your own food into the picnic enclosure. If you have special medical requirements, that require you to bring your own food please confirm in advance with the racecourse, to ensure your entrance to the racecourse is unaffected.
I have specific medical needs and need to bring my own food?
Please contact the course in advance of your arrival and we will provide a letter confirming it has been agreed that you can bring what you need on course.
Is there alcohol free beverages available?
Yes – we serve a number of alcohol free beverages including, wine, spirits and beer alongside a range of soft drinks. There is an alcohol free area available in the picnic enclosure.
Are there any drinks promotions?

What can I bring ?
Racing is predominately an outdoor sport, so do check the weather to see if it’s a suncream or an umbrella, sort of day
Can I bring my camera & / or video equipment?
We love people to take photos on course and share them across social media. However professional and amateurs photographers who wish to catch the racing action for personal or professional use, need to seek accreditation in advance – send an email to info@doncaster-racecourse.co.uk requesting accreditation, if you meet our requirements, you will received accreditation in advance of the meeting. It cannot be granted on race day.
Will I appear on camera?
The Betfred St Leger Festival is filmed by a number of UK and international broadcasters, so there is every chance you could feature on television. It is also covered by UK & international press photographers, so you may appear in the print media. We have disclaimers located on entrance and around the course. We not guarantee you will not appear in back shots.
Can I bring furniture?
We have some furniture available on course, however please be aware that racing is not designed to be a seated sport, so furniture is available on a first come, first served basis. If you need a seat – booking hospitality ensures your comfort for the day.
We do allow people to bring deck chairs in the picnic area, and also picnic blankets. However, gazebos and tables will be refused entry… even if they are sporting there best look!
Can I bring a trolly with my requirements for the day?
Unfortunately we are unable to allow trolleys on site, during the festival.
Can I smoke / Vape on course?
Yes – outside – There is no vaping or smoking allowed indoors, or in any area of the racecourse with three sides closed to the elements.
