Doncaster Racecourse is excited to announce a new partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust, who be the racecourse’s charity of choice at the next race fixture on Saturday 29 June, The Construction Index Race day, featuring Rita Ora live after racing.
Music is a huge part of teenager’s lives, and the racecourse is pleased to offer the Teenage Cancer Trust 200 complimentary tickets for the race day which features Rita Ora live.
Russell Smith, Executive Director said: “It is important young people are treated as young people first, and we are pleased to be working with the Teenage Cancer Trust, to provide fantastic experiences for patients, whilst raising awareness of the world class care the trust provide.
Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity in the UK dedicated to providing specialist nursing and emotional support to young people living with cancer. Established in 1990 the trust’s vision is a future where young people’s lives don’t stop because they have cancer.
Dale Tomlinson; Regional Fundraiser for Yorkshire & Humber said: “We are extremely grateful to the team at Doncaster Racecourse for their generosity in giving our patients the chance to have an evening to remember at the races and seeing one of the world’s biggest female artists live, in what is otherwise an incredibly difficult time for them and their families, and as well for allowing us to raise important funds in tandem with the event; which will go towards providing expert, age appropriate cancer care to 13-24 year old’s across the region.”
Teenage Cancer Trust will be in attendance on Saturday June 29th in the Grandstand Hall, and the racecourse encourages race goers to show their support to the volunteers around the Racecourse and at the information stand.
