June sees the start of the exciting Ladies’ Days series across Yorkshire’s nine racecourses. Held throughout the summer months, the fashion action starts at Wetherby’s evening meeting on Tuesday, June 11.

Each racecourse will hold their Ladies Day between June and September, all conducted in their own unique way. There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs, from a range of competitions, including best hat, or best couple to the overall best dressed, who will go on to represent their racecourse in the Go Racing In Yorkshire best dressed final.

A public vote in September will decide the overall Go Racing In Yorkshire Best Dressed winner, who will win an amazing “Country Getaway” courtesy of Lloyd, Land Rover York, Country Huts on the Wolds and Parnaby’s.

The prize consists of the use of a Land Rover vehicle for two days from Lloyd Land Rover York, when the winner can drive off in elegant style, making their way to the rural idyll of Thixendale for a two night stay at Country Huts on the Wolds, luxury traditional style Shepherds Huts, before visiting the beautiful market town of Malton and heading for Parnaby’s where the exceptionally knowledgeable team will fit a pair of his and hers Dubarry boots for the winner to take away.

David McIntyre, Head of Business from Lloyd Land Rover York said,

“We are delighted to support the Go Racing In Yorkshire Best Dressed Final again this year, given our presence in York. Our opulent vehicles embody style and elegance, ensuring the winner a delightful and stylish journey for their country getaway.”

Gilda Brader, from Country Huts on the Wolds said,

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the latest winner of the Go Racing In Yorkshire best dressed final to our peaceful Shepherds Huts. The rural location and tranquillity of the area will give the winner and their guest an opportunity to switch off from everyday life, but we’re not too far from York or Beverley if they would like to visit the races!”
