On Saturday 9 November, the day before Remembrance Sunday, the racecourse team would like to invite all serving armed forces personnel and their friends and families, to join them for the final event of the British flat season.

250 FREE Tickets for Troops will be available for those who serve in HM’s Armed Forces, those medically discharged post 2001 and the next of kin of those who have passed as a result of their service.

The November Handicap signifies the end of the British Flat season, with seven exciting races, this classic race day will also welcome the Beatles Revolution, playing the Best of British tunes live after racing.

Taking place on the last day of the British Flat Season, the November Handicap is always a thrilling spectacle, and this year will feature the 8th Battalion the Rifles Regiment, in addition to the day’s chosen charity the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Visitors are encouraged to support the Poppy Appeal on the day, and are welcome to lay a wreath, or a remembrance cross at the Double Trigger horse statue in the Grandstand Entrance as a mark of respect, should they wish to do so.

Emma Rouse Head of Marketing at Doncaster Racecourse, said: “We are incredibly proud to work with Tickets for Troops, and have the opportunity to give something back to those who give so much for us. The November Handicap is a fantastic race day, a true British Classic, and we hope as many service personnel both past and present will join us with their friends and families, on the eve of Remembrance Sunday.

The racecourse has teamed up with Tickets for Troops- a charity which provides free tickets to members of the Armed Forces. To find out more or to book tickets visit: www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk

With racecourses throughout the UK troops and their families can enjoy a great day out in recognition of their efforts in keeping us safe and secure.”
