07 February 2018

Arena Racing Company (‘ARC’) is delighted to announce 32Red as the new sponsor of the Lincoln Handicap, which will take place at Doncaster Racecourse on 24 March 2018.

The deal represents a three-year partnership between ARC and 32Red, and continues the strong association between the two companies. 32Red were one of the founding partners of the All-Weather Championships in 2013 and continue to support the series.

The 32Red Lincoln, worth £100,000 is seen as the traditional start to the flat turf season in Britain and is the first major handicap of the year.  The race has been won in recent years by David O’Meara’s Bravery, Godolphin’s Secret Brief and Gabrial, trained by Richard Fahey.

The deal will see 32Red branding across the site at Doncaster Racecourse and involvement with race titles across both days of the Lincoln Meeting.

ARC’s Group Director of Partnerships, David Leyden Dunbar said, “We’ve always enjoyed an excellent relationship with 32Red through their sponsorship of the All-Weather Championships and we’re delighted to bring them on board to Doncaster for the first time with The 32Red Lincoln”.

“The Lincoln is a heritage handicap with a tremendous history, and a special place in the racing calendar as the first major race of the new turf season and we’re looking forward to continuing that with 32Red.”

Ed Nicholson, Head of Racing Communications and Sponsorship for 32Red said:

“We are delighted to add the Lincoln handicap to our already strong portfolio of sponsored races. Being the traditional curtain-raiser to a new turf flat season, the 32Red Lincoln handicap provides us with a huge opportunity for our brand to engage with important consumer groups, from the extensive media attention it garners.”

“32Red now sponsor, within a week, a race which traditionally heralds the start of a new turf flat season, while also continuing to support the All Weather Championships, which for many signals the end of a winter-long all-weather campaign”
