Doncaster Racecourse has announced it is to give away 200 tickets for one of its biggest music events of the year, to serving armed forces personnel, including members who have been medically discharged since 2001.

The racecourse has teamed up with Tickets For Troops – a charity which provides free tickets to members of the Armed Forces – to offer free access to Chase and Status’s DJ set at the venue.

The British music act are set to play an exclusive DJ set at Doncaster Racecourse on 30 June, following the Construction Index Race Evening.

Tim Banfield, executive director at Doncaster Racecourse, said: “It’s an honour to be able to help our heroes by offering free tickets to one of our biggest music dates of the year.”

“Tickets For Troops is a fantastic charity initiative which gives service personnel a well-deserved chance to enjoy an event such as this with their friends and family.”

The tickets will be released by Tickets For Troops for anyone currently serving in the armed forces and medically discharged since 2001. The members can then book the tickets (two tickets per person) to attend the event for free.

William Campbell-Lamerton, Partnerships and Operations Manager at Tickets For Troops, said: "We would like to thank Doncaster Racecourse for their incredibly kind donation of 200 tickets to the Construction Index Raceday with Chase and Status later this month. It is down to our generous donors like Doncaster Racecourse which allows the charity to run so efficiently and we are incredibly grateful for their support."
