Run every January, this jumps Premier Handicap is a highlight of the winter racing season, attracting elite horses, top jockeys, and legendary trainers from across the UK.

Spanning a gruelling 3 miles, the Great Yorkshire Chase is a true test of stamina, skill, and strategy. Over the decades, it has carved legends into racing history.
Ziga Boy remains the most successful horse with two emphatic victories in 2016 and 2017 , while jockey Tom Moloney still leads the standings with three wins .
On the training front, Fred Rimell holds the record with four triumphant winners, a legacy that endures to this day 🏁.

Dress Code:
The dress code for the Premier Enclosure is jacket for gentlemen with tie optional and smart attire for ladies. Jeans and sportswear are not permitted in this area.
We would also request that children dress smartly when joining us in the Premier Enclosure.
