PRESS RELEASE

2nd June 2010 For Immediate Release

Simpson Millar bring first ever Camel Race to Doncaster Racecourse

Simpson Millar LLP Solicitors are bringing a camel race to Doncaster for the first time in the racecourse's history. This inaugural event will take place before the main fixtures on Friday 25th June at 1.45pm.

The Simpson Millar Arabian Camel Race is the first of 8 races sponsored by the national law firm, which has large practices in Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Gateshead, London, Manchester and Wimbledon.

Caroline Kelly, Marketing Director for Simpson Millar explains the interesting decision. "Peter Watson, Managing Partner for Simpson Millar LLP, mentioned that a colleague had seen an article in the Racing Post about camel racing. He thought it was an interesting idea, and he jokily suggested that we should add it to our annual Race Day event at Doncaster.

However on further investigation we discovered this could be a reality and when we discussed it with Doncaster Racecourse they loved the idea - and so here we are!"

Jo Mapletoft for Doncaster Racecourse says, "A day out at the races should always be enjoyable and when Caroline suggested the Camel Race I thought it would be an excellent fun way to start the day. It's something different for Doncaster and will bring a few wry smiles to our racing stalwarts."

Simpson Millar LLP is sponsoring The Maiden Stakes, The Maiden Fillies' Stakes, The Novice Stakes and The Handicap Stakes races as part of their annual corporate race event. The event, for key clients, will also raise money for the firm's 2010 chosen charities, Just a Drop and Communication Workers Union Humanitarian Aid (CWUHA).

In addition the law firm will be promoting their wide range of services including Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Family Law and Social and Education Law services.
